Dr. Alan Thompson, Senior Pastor

Dr. Alan Thompson came to Hillsboro as pastor in July 2000. This is actually his second time at Hillsboro, having served as pastor from 1987 to 1995. Al is married to Dee, and has three children: Emily, who lives in Nashville, TN, Stephen, who is at UVA, and Sara, who is at Longwood Univ.

Dee Thompson, Director, Hillsboro Christian Preschool

Dee Thompson has directed our preschool since it's opening in Fall 2003, coming having several years of previous preschool teaching experience. Dee has a Bachelors degree in Music, and a Masters in Religious Education. Dee and Al are now, as of August 2007, "empty nesters" with their youngest child now attending Longwood University.

Josh Dollahan, Pastor to Students

Josh began his ministry among us in April 2008. He has a love for children and teens, and a passion for seeing students find the excitement and confident foundation of knowing Christ, as well as finding supportive and solid Christian friends. Josh is originally from Texas, and his wife, Casey, grew up just south of Lynchburg, Virginia. Our youth think Josh is a fungi (fun guy).

Beth Sebastian, Office Administrator

Beth (left) serves part-time heading up all of our communications, organizing, and maintaining Hillsboro's day-to-day operations. Beth and her husband, Joe, have two grown children - Bekah who lives in Indiana with her husband Ben, and their son Josh, who lives locally and is on the staff of our church's preschool.
